Vision

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of “Sonargaon University” aims to make the students compatible with modern technologies for construction and maintenance of the intended work and to achieve our target we follow nationally and internationally recognized curriculum and provide them with required practical knowledge to face the real world. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department will also excel in undergraduate instruction, research in all sub-areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and in service to the public and private sector with the land-grant mission of the university. To become a front-runner in bringing out globally competent Electrical & Electronic Engineers instilled with human values and professional ethics and thereby contribute value to the knowledge-based economy and society.

Mission

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides an educational, professional, and intellectual experience that enables a diverse body of faculty, staff, students, and alumni, to contribute to the society through teaching, research, practice, and service.

The mission of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to develop highly competent professionals, preparing them for entry-level positions in electrical and electronics engineering, further study in graduate school, life-long learning, and social leadership. Allied with both the School of Engineering’s and the College’s mission, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is proud of its public service mandate to educate leaders of the nation. The Department provides a learning environment that emphasizes open-ended design, problem-solving skills, team work, communication, and leadership skills.

Our faculties work together within the department, and other departments in the University, to provide multidisciplinary opportunities for both students and faculties. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program produces graduate’s individuals with high professional and ethical standards to work in government and private organizations. The faculty members are committed to increasing and improving the quality of our graduates.

The Department is committed to prepare its students for immediate entry into the engineering profession as well as into graduate programs of study. The Department is also committed to research to place its faculty and students at the forefront of development in the profession of electrical and electronics engineering at the local and national levels. The latest advances are brought into classroom through continued research, thereby positioning the students to lead the profession into the twenty-first century. The Department reflects the university scope and mission by offering opportunities to students with previous limited access to education to be trained to make professional contributions to the electrical and electronics engineering enterprise.

The department also encourages extracurricular activities and has established clubs to create the space for them to explore their inner ingenuity. The university also offers training courses for the students to enable them to know more software outside their curriculum.
