This is Md. Ahshan Habib, I am welcoming everybody as a Head of the Department and this is a great pleasure to introduce the Department of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT), Sonargaon University (SU).

I hope this website will provide all the necessary information that you are searching for. Sonargaon University (SU) started its journey in the year 2012 after the approved University Grant Commission (UGC).

The Department of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT) offers 4 years undergraduate program which is B.Sc. in Fashion Design & Technology (FDT).

The department of fashion design & technology ensures and prepares students for a career in the highly competitive RMG sector and fashion industry by ensuring that graduates have the necessary knowledge of creative, technical, academic and communication skills.

The program gives students the creative, technical, ethical, and professional skills needed to succeed as a fashion designer in the challenging ready-made garment (RMG) industries in Bangladesh. By the end of undergraduate program students are furnished with the academic, practical knowledge and as well as full of confidence.

FDT graduates are successfully working in the Apparel industry in different high-level posts, or working as a designer with their own label, or can start at postgraduate level study.
