Vision

The Department of Civil Engineering of “Sonargaon University” aims to make the students compatible with modern technologies for the construction and maintenance of the intended work and to achieve our target we follow nationally and internationally recognized curriculum and provide them with the required practical knowledge to face the real world. The Civil Engineering Department will also excel in undergraduate instruction, research in all sub-areas of civil engineering, and in service to the public and private sectors with the land-grant mission of the university. The Department will make significant contributions to the economic development of the country, nation, and region.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Civil Engineering is to develop highly competent professionals,  preparing them for entry-level positions in civil engineering, further study in graduate school, lifelong learning, and social leadership. The Department of Civil Engineering is proud of its public service mandate to educate leaders of the nation. The Department is dedicated to providing a learning environment that emphasizes open-ended design, problem-solving skills, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

Our faculties work together within the department, and other departments in the University, to provide multidisciplinary opportunities for both students and faculties. The Civil Engineering  Program produces graduates with high professional and ethical standards to work in government and private organizations. The faculty members are committed to increase and  improving the quality of our graduates.
