Vision

 The department's vision is to support the production of literary knowledge through the practice of cutting-edge reading of literature and to build skilled and liberal manpower suitable for media, educational institutions, and other cutting-edge workplaces associated with literature.

Mission

i) In order to achieve the above "Vision", the Department’s mission is to produce and provide quality graduates for teaching at the college and university level and also, other national and regional level institutions engaged in training and research in Bangla Language and Literature. 

ii) In order to deal with the realities of the 21st century and keeping in mind the possible field of work and the need to understand literature as a whole, various programs of Bangla Department have included lessons on various theories, philosophy, media and concepts of society and state.

iii) To develop student's engagement of Bangla Department with research in the light of aesthetic perspectives on Bangla Literature and art, proficient in research - based analysis and evaluation techniques.
