Sonargaon University began in 2012 with three faculties and has since grown into twelve departments spanning engineering, business, law, architecture and the arts. As SU works toward becoming a recognized teaching-and-research university, the Center for Research, Training & Consultancy (CRTC) was established to lead that effort.

Capacity-building workshops led by SU faculty and outside resource persons, running from weeks to months, with certificates for participants.
Regular knowledge-exchange events tied to current developments in education and research.
Reviews research proposals and reports for technical soundness against CRTC guidelines; meets twice per proposal, covering roughly 30 initiatives a year.
Manages the publication process for reports, articles and papers cleared by the Technical Committee.
