IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (FDT Dept., SU) became the undefeated champion of the 1st Zia International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament, honoured by the State Minister for Youth and Sports.
IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (FDT Dept., SU) secured the runner-up position at the Zia FIDE Memorial Blitz Rating Chess Tournament 2026, held with the support of the Bangladesh Chess Federation.
Organized by the Department of Law with support from the Sports Division, the 4-Team Football League 2026 celebrated talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship among Law students.

Across 13 departments, the EEE department won SU’s ACME Inter-Department Futsal Tournament 2025, with BBA finishing runner-up.
SU’s first three-day Intra-Department Cricket Tournament drew all 12 departments, with BBA champion and EEE runner-up; former national cricketer Khaled Mahmud Pilot graced the opening.
Today, 200+ SU students compete at Under-19, national, and international levels – a sporting culture built on teamwork, discipline, and hard work.
